- Is it normal for my heat pump to have frost on it?
Light frost that clears during a defrost cycle is normal. Thick ice that stays, or ice on the coil in cooling mode, is not. Call.
- Why does my heat pump blow lukewarm air?
Heat pump supply air is cooler than furnace air by design, usually 85 to 95 degrees. If it is cooler than that, or the house never reaches setpoint, there is a fault.
- How often should a heat pump be serviced?
Twice a year, before cooling season and before heating season, because it runs year round. Our maintenance plans put both visits on the calendar.
